SONA 2014

Leadership is not on what a kind of leader you are but it is seen on how you lead and serve your people. Last 2010, we again voted for a new president that will lead us for another 6 years. A leader that is willing to help us whenever we need help. A leader that is always ready to be one with us with our problems. A lot of our fellow Filipinos waited for the changes our new president has in stored for us.

For the past few years, a lot of our fellow Filipino, especially the ones below the normal bracket, have been expecting a certain change in their lives. Until now, they are still putting their hopes up for that chat change. Last July 28, our president gave his 2nd to the last SONA. There were certain things our president discussed but the thing that really got my attention was about the Rehabilitation Program he has been promising to the victims of the most recent super typhoon which was named Yolanda. The president stated in his SONA that he already gave the amount which will be used for the said project. But now, where is it? the problem that arose in this condition is the lack of oneness of the different officials involved. He also stated that the rehabilitation process was fast but the truth is, the rehabilitation process is not going so well. Why? Because the victims of the said typhoon are still on their tent homes waiting for the help they’ve been really longing for. And now these victims are again being passed on by the new typhoons that are entering our country. The relief good they sent, I think has never been given to them. News once was raised up about a pack of relief goods were destroyed because it wasn’t given to the victims.

Because of politics, the different leaders of country are being blinded. And because of money, some of them are now forgetting what being a leader really means. We must all forget about this politics thing and let us all try to reflect about the problem our country is facing right now. We must all work hand in hand to help those victims of different calamities. We must all serve as a motivation for them to gain their strength in facing another set of problems that will come their way.
